Graeme Souness to Step Down as Sky Sports Pundit After 15 Years
Former Liverpool and Scotland Midfielder Leaving Longtime Role
In a surprise announcement made live on Sky Sports, Graeme Souness confirmed that he will be stepping down as a pundit with the network after 15 years.
Souness, a former player for Liverpool, Rangers, and Scotland, has been a regular fixture on Sky Sports' soccer coverage since 2007. He has built a reputation for his outspoken views and insightful analysis.
"It's been a privilege to work with Sky Sports for so many years," Souness said. "I've had the opportunity to work with some great people and cover some of the biggest events in football."
However, Souness explained that he felt it was time for a change. "I'm 69 now, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with my family and friends," he said.
Sky Sports has praised Souness for his contributions to the network.
